About Institute of Computer Application
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a discipline that deals with the study and application of computational methods and data processing techniques to provide solutions to real-life problems in many different domains.
The School of Computer Science is a diverse, interdisciplinary innovative system comprising of distinguished faculties, software developers and students. The School is carrying forward its mission to create technocrats who will keep pace with and solve the most challenging problems in the IT Industry.
At present, the School has highly qualified core faculty members apart from many distinguished professionals from industry and teaching assistants. Faculty members of the School are actively involved in different latest technical domains to enhance the contribution of academia such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Database Management Systems, Website & Mobile Application Development, Software Testing and Multimedia.
The School of computer science provides extensive computing resources for technical development and training. The School promotes creativity, exploration of fundamental knowledge and future-facing education to bring together the conceptual, theoretical and practical dimensions of Computer Science and Engineering. The well-designed curricula incorporating the needs of the IT industry and the flexible credit system enable the students to acquire the relevant knowledge and skills in their chosen field of interest. The School has a good record of organizing seminars, workshops, hands-on sessions, industry experts & eminent speakers’ talks, etc. in emerging technological areas throughout the year.

Welcome to the School of Computer Science (SOCS) at Darshan University, Rajkot.
Science investigates the essence of things, and technology aims to apply its findings for solving problems for the benefit of humankind. We, at SOCS, believe in learning by doing. The School of Computer Science at DU is developing to impart quality technical education and generating competent professionals with a high degree of integrity and ethical standards. We work to recognize student’s abilities and nurture the creative potential of each student.
We are committed to excellence through innovations in the teaching and learning process and have been successful in maintaining good student enrolments. Our faculty are highly qualified, dedicated and strongly connected with the industry to enhance the contribution of academia. The faculty team ensures the implementation of academic systems and procedures with a consistent aim of providing the latest technical education to our students.
The SOCS is equipped with the best laboratories and computing resources with state-of-the-art infrastructure to produce technically competent professionals. We take pride in initiating hands-on lab courses, developing real-life software applications and implementing project-based teaching & learning practices for generating industry-ready engineers. Faculty and students are encouraged to pursue their creativity, which often turns into commercialized innovations. Students are motivated to incorporate the ‘earn while you learn’ philosophy.

Who we are?
Darshan University - having the foundation of its first Institution laid in 2009, and later on, established and consolidated under Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act of 2021. It is one of the leading institutes within Saurashtra that offers Diploma, UG, PG and Doctoral Courses.
