A Survey on "Spot Speed and Traffic Volume"

The Department of Civil Engineering, DIETDS, organised a survey on "Spot Speed and Traffic Volume" for fifth-semester students. Mr Meet B. Sanghvi and Mr Hiteshkumar H. Jadav coordinated the activity. The survey aimed to provide students with practical knowledge of traffic engineering and data collection techniques. During the activity, 16 students used standard survey methods to record vehicle speeds and traffic volume at a selected road location. The exercise helped students understand the collection and use of basic traffic data and connect theoretical concepts of traffic engineering with actual road conditions. It also provided practical exposure to the role of traffic surveys in road and traffic planning.
