The Department of Diploma Mechanical at Darshan University recently organized a comprehensive industrial visit to Perfect Autocast in Rajkot for third-semester Diploma in Mechanical Engineering students. Accompanied by two faculty members, forty-three students participated in this initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application. The primary objective of the excursion was to equip budding mechanical engineers with vital insights into contemporary manufacturing industry practices, specifically focusing on the sand-casting process, automated systems, and rigorous quality control methodologies. During the visit, participants observed firsthand the crucial inspection and testing methods utilized for cast parts. Furthermore, the experience highlighted the significance of workforce development, demonstrating how a technically trained and self-motivated team ensures consistent productivity.
