The Civil Engineering Department at Darshan University organized a comprehensive technical visit to the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot for first-year B.Tech Civil Engineering students. This initiative aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the meticulous planning, design, and construction processes involved in modern sports infrastructure. During the visit, participants explored vital facilities, including the stadium seating area, pavilion, media box, auditorium, practice ground, and in-house gymnasium. Students observed critical civil engineering components firsthand, such as reinforced cement concrete (RCC) and steel structural systems, drainage networks, utility services, and complex circulation planning. Ultimately, this field experience successfully bridged the gap between theoretical classroom concepts and real-world construction practices. The immersive visit significantly enhanced the students' understanding of project execution, infrastructure management, and the pivotal role that civil engineers play in developing large-scale public facilities.
