The Civil Engineering Department, Darshan University, organized an expert session on “Tippan” and Land Revenue Records to provide students with practical insights into land surveying, land administration, and their applications in civil engineering. The session introduced participants to the fundamentals of Tippan, village maps, survey numbers, field measurements, Record of Rights (RoR), and other land revenue documents used for land identification and boundary demarcation. The expert session further explained the preparation, interpretation, and verification of land records, highlighting their relevance to land acquisition, infrastructure development, site selection, project planning, and statutory compliance. With 150 students participating, the session effectively connected academic concepts with professional practices and enhanced students’ understanding of accurate land documentation and boundary verification. It also strengthened awareness of the responsibilities of civil engineers in surveying, land management, and infrastructure development projects.
