The DIETDS–Mechanical Department of Darshan University organized an industrial visit to Captain Tractors Pvt. Ltd. for fifth-semester Diploma Mechanical Engineering students as part of its Industry–Academia Linkage initiative. The visit was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industrial practice by providing students with first-hand exposure to modern tractor manufacturing processes and industrial operations. During the visit, participants observed key stages of production, including machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, painting, quality inspection, and safety practices, while gaining insights into the systematic coordination of various production departments. Industry experts also familiarized students with contemporary manufacturing techniques, workflow management, and real-world engineering applications. The visit significantly enhanced students’ practical understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and strengthened their awareness of professional industrial practices. A total of 37 students, accompanied by faculty coordinators, actively participated in the educational visit, making it a valuable experiential learning opportunity.
