The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology, organized an industrial visit to Pelican Rotoflex Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot, to provide students with practical exposure to advanced manufacturing systems and industrial production practices in the flexible packaging machinery sector. The visit enabled students from multiple semesters to observe the complete manufacturing lifecycle, including design, fabrication, machining, assembly, quality inspection, and final product testing of flexible packaging printing machines. Guided by industry experts, participants gained valuable insights into precision engineering, industrial automation, measurement techniques, quality control systems, and modern production methodologies employed in large-scale manufacturing environments. The interactive learning experience effectively connected classroom concepts with real-world engineering applications, allowing students to better understand contemporary industrial processes and technological innovations. With the participation of 51 Mechanical Engineering students, the visit significantly enhanced technical knowledge, industrial awareness, and problem-solving abilities while strengthening academia–industry collaboration and preparing students for future engineering careers.
