A Workshop on "Strain Gauge Based Pavement Response Measurement and Analysis"

The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized a hands-on workshop on “Strain Gauge Based Pavement Response Measurement and Analysis” at the Rajkot–Morbi Highway project site. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical exposure to pavement monitoring techniques used in modern transportation engineering. During the workshop, students learned about strain gauge selection, installation, calibration, wiring, and field instrumentation. They also observed real-time data collection and pavement responses under moving vehicular loads, gaining valuable insights into pavement performance evaluation and structural health monitoring. The field-based training strengthened their understanding of highway engineering and enhanced their practical and technical skills.
