The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIETDS, organized a workshop on “From Theory to Flight: Hands-on Drone Assembly” for sixth semester Diploma Mechanical Engineering students. The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of drone technology through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. During the workshop, students learned the fundamentals of drone systems, including their components, working principles, flight dynamics, and applications. They also received hands-on training in drone assembly, wiring, basic configuration, and operational control under the guidance of experienced faculty members. The practical sessions enhanced students’ technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in working with unmanned aerial systems. The workshop also created awareness of career opportunities in drone technology and reinforced the department’s commitment to industry-oriented, application-based engineering education.
