The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET & DIETDS, organized a seminar on the occasion of World Water Day in collaboration with the Shree Uma Varisth Parivar Charitable Trust to promote awareness about water conservation and sustainable water management practices. During the seminar, experts from the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB) and the corporate sector shared their knowledge on water conservation, rainwater harvesting, efficient water resource planning, and practical solutions to address water scarcity. Through interactive sessions and real-world examples, students gained a better understanding of sustainable water management and its importance in civil engineering. The seminar helped bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice while encouraging students to adopt environmentally responsible approaches and contribute to the conservation of water resources.
