The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIET, organized an industrial visit to Dharti Agro Engineering, Shapar, Rajkot, for second-semester students. The initiative aimed to strengthen industry-academia linkage by providing students with practical exposure to industrial operations and production processes. During the visit, students observed the manufacturing of agricultural machinery, including seed drills, rotavators, and power tillers. Under the guidance of faculty coordinators Mr. Vineet M. Bhatt and Mr. Arjunbhai A. Bhadesiya, students gained insights into fabrication processes such as welding, CNC machining, and chassis assembly. Industry expert Mr. Dezul Patel also shared valuable knowledge about farm mechanization and quality testing practices. The visit helped students bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world engineering applications while enhancing their understanding of modern manufacturing practices.
