Industrial Visit at Dharti Agro Engineering, Shapar, Rajkot

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology recently organized an insightful industrial visit to Dharti Agro Engineering in Shapar, Rajkot, for its Semester 2 students. This departmental initiative aimed to provide a robust industry-academia linkage by offering students real-time practical exposure to industrial working principles and production system applications. Throughout the visit, participants explored the manufacturing plant to observe the production of advanced agricultural machinery, including seed drills, rotavators, and power tillers. Under the guidance of faculty coordinators Mr. Vineet M. Bhatt and Mr. Arjunbhai A. Bhadesiya, students examined sophisticated fabrication processes such as precision welding, CNC machining, and chassis assembly. Additionally, industry expert Mr. Dezul Patel shared critical insights regarding research and development in farm mechanization and quality testing standards. This experience successfully bridged the gap between classroom theory and real-world engineering, equipping students with a practical perspective on modern manufacturing.
