The Library, DU, hosted an academic visit for students and faculty members from the Department of Library & Information Science, Saurashtra University. The visit was attended by 10 students and three faculty members and aimed to provide practical exposure to modern library resources, services, and technologies. During the visit, Chief Librarian Dr. Alka V. Gohel delivered an informative presentation on the library’s digital services, automation systems, and modern facilities. Participants also took part in a guided tour of the library, where they explored various sections and learned about collection development, classification, and library management practices. The visit concluded with an interactive session in which participants discussed contemporary trends in library and information science and clarified their queries. The program enhanced their understanding of modern library operations and the effective use of digital information resources.
