Faculty Development Program on “FEAST FEA Software and Robotics"

  25 Feb 2026

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIET, organized a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "FEAST FEA Software and Advanced Robotics" to enhance the technical knowledge and teaching capabilities of faculty members. The regional-level program focused on strengthening participants' understanding of finite element analysis and modern robotics technologies through expert guidance and hands-on training. During the program, participants received practical training in FEAST FEA software, covering structural, thermal, and vibration analyses for solving real-world engineering problems. They also explored the fundamentals of robotics, including kinematics and motion simulation using Robo Analyzer software. Expert sessions conducted by professionals from the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and SVR Robotics provided valuable insights into current industrial practices and emerging technologies. The program successfully bridged the gap between academic concepts and industrial applications, enhancing participants' technical expertise and enabling them to deliver industry-relevant education.
