Two Days Faculty Development Program on “FEAST FEA Software and Robotics

  25 Feb 2026

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIET, organized a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on FEAST FEA Software and Advanced Robotics to enhance the technical knowledge and teaching capabilities of faculty members. The regional-level program focused on strengthening participants' understanding of finite element analysis and modern robotics technologies through expert guidance and practical training. During the program, participants received hands-on training in FEAST FEA software, covering structural, thermal, and vibration analysis for solving real-world engineering problems. They also explored the fundamentals of robotics, including kinematics and motion simulation using Robo Analyzer software. Expert sessions conducted by professionals from the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and SVR Robotics provided valuable insights into current industrial practices and emerging technologies. The program successfully bridged the gap between academic concepts and industrial applications, helping faculty members enhance their technical expertise and deliver industry-relevant education.
