An Expert Talk on "Design of Steel Structures"

The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized an expert talk on “Design of Steel Structures”. The session was conducted by Mr. Mavani Vasu, Civil and Structural Engineer at Kent Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. The talk provided 27 undergraduate and postgraduate students with valuable insights into pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) and their design process. During the talk, participants learned about load calculations, structural analysis using STAAD.Pro, and key aspects of steel structure design. Mr. Vasu also shared practical insights from industry projects, helping students understand the application of engineering concepts in professional practice. The talk enhanced students' understanding of modern structural design and construction practices.
