The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIETDS, organized an industrial visit to Adani Port for sixth-semester Diploma Mechanical Engineering students. The visit was coordinated by Mr. Gopal Lambha and provided students with practical exposure to port operations and cargo transportation systems. The visit was attended by 22 students and two faculty coordinators. During the visit, students observed the functioning of container logistics, conveyor systems, and pipeline networks connected to the national rail infrastructure. They also gained insights into modern technologies used in terminal operations to improve efficiency and reduce cargo handling time. The visit helped students understand the role of engineering systems and skilled manpower in large-scale industrial operations while providing valuable exposure to real-world industry practices.
