Darshan University’s DIETDS Mechanical Department organized an impactful industrial visit to Adani Port in Mundra, Gujarat, on January 22, 2026. This specialized educational excursion was specifically designed for sixth-semester Diploma in Mechanical Engineering students to provide essential practical exposure to the nation’s cargo and goods movement infrastructure. Throughout the session, twenty-two student participants and two faculty coordinators engaged with real-world applications of container logistics, conveyor systems, and extensive pipeline networks linked to the national rail grid. Led by visit incharge Gopal Lambha, the experience offered students deep insights into technological enhancements in terminal operations aimed at reducing cargo dwell time. Beyond technical systems, the visit emphasized the importance of a motivated and well-trained workforce in maintaining consistent industrial productivity. Such initiatives underscore the university's commitment to holistic student development and preparing future engineers for complex industry challenges.
