Industrial Visit for 3rd Semester Students at Forman Metal Cast - Rajkot

An industrial visit was organized for the 3rd Semester Students of the Diploma Mechanical Engineering Department on 13th September 2025. An industrial owner and their supporting technical staff from Forman Metal Work have given the knowledge regarding fundamental principles of the sand-casting process to the students. Students have learned the basic technical skills required for the sand-casting process via physical visits to the industry. They got knowledge of how to perform these manufacturing processes from industrial technical experts. It was a great learning experience for the students to get knowledge about the process of pattern making, the Sand preparation process, the mould making process, the metal melting and pouring process, the fettling process, the shot blasting process, and the finishing process.
