The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized a “GATE & Competitive Exam Awareness Session” at the G-Block Seminar Hall. The session was conducted by Ms. Shurbhi Jain from Acumen GATE Academy and was attended by 42 students. During the session, students gained valuable insights into the GATE examination, higher education opportunities, and career prospects in the engineering field. The speaker explained the examination structure, admission opportunities at premier institutions such as Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology, and recruitment opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Students also received guidance on various state- and national-level competitive examinations, including GPSC and SSC. The session helped participants understand preparation strategies and career pathways, enabling them to make informed decisions about their academic and professional future.
