An Expert Talk on Sustainable Cities & Communities

The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized a seminar on “Sustainable Cities & Communities” to enhance students understanding of sustainable urban development. The session was conducted by Dr. Bhavesh Joshi, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Mewar University, and was attended by 46 students along with faculty members. During the seminar, participants learned about the role of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in urban planning and development. The session covered topics such as green buildings, climate-resilient design strategies, and emerging trends in urbanization. Through interactive discussions, students gained valuable insights into creating environmentally responsible and sustainable urban spaces. The seminar helped broaden their understanding of modern challenges in urban development and encouraged them to contribute towards building sustainable communities.
