Techometry Survey and Contour Mapping using Theodolite

The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized a technical session on “Tacheometry Survey and Contour Mapping Using Theodolite” near Hadala Village for Semester-2 B.Tech students. The session was attended by 34 students and was coordinated by Mr. Chetan G. Solanki and Mr. Deepraj K. Patadia. During the activity, students gained hands-on experience in surveying techniques by measuring ground levels and recording field observations to study elevation variations. Using the collected data, they prepared contour maps and learned the practical application of contour mapping in topographical surveys. The session helped students connect theoretical concepts with field practices while improving their surveying, observation, and data interpretation skills. The activity provided valuable exposure to real-world engineering applications and strengthened students’ understanding of land surveying techniques.
